It’s time for another TBR clear down! I think I’ve now managed to remove seven books from my Goodreads to be read shelf? Out of twenty books I’ve looked at, I’d say that seven isn’t too bad. If you’re doing this with me, how many have you managed to take off your to be read list? Last week I think I was a little too kind to my shelf, so I’m hoping this week I can be a little more ruthless and make some serious space on my shelves!
Glass Sword (Red Queen, #2) by Victoria Aveyard
This book, no, this whole damn series, has been haunting my to read shelf for far too long! I have the first three books as physical copies sitting on my shelves, so I will be reading them (eventually) but I will have to re-read book one again or look up a spoiler review from someone! I do remember some things from the first book, and I’m pretty sure I enjoyed it, but when I attempted the second book for the first time I decided there were better books I needed to get through first, and I’ve not come back yet!
The Fate of the Tearling (The Queen of the Tearling, #3) by Erika Johansen
Ahh, yet another series I have yet to finish! I’m actually currently trying to collect this series in hardcover. I’ve managed to get the first two books and am looking for the last book to complete my collection, once I have it I can finally complete this series and move this book to my read shelf. So I’ll definitely be keeping this one!
Thief’s Magic (Millennium’s Rule, #1) by Trudi Canavan
This book has been on my shelves since I first dived into the literary world. It was actually bought as a gift from a friend, which makes me want to hold on to it. I know I’ll never read it though, I have tried once or twice but I always end up putting it down before I can really get into it, it just doesn’t hold my interest really. I might do a big giveaway at the end of this series for all the books I own but have decided to remove from my shelves, however this is something I’ll have to think on depending on how many books I decide to let go of!
Magician (The Riftwar Saga, #1-2) by Raymond E. Feist
This one is in exactly the same boat as the one above. It was also purchased as a gift from a friend way back when I first started reading. It’s been on my shelves since I’ve had shelves and I know, deep down, that I am never going to read it. It’s just taking up valuable real estate on my shelves right now. Another one that’s got to go!
Empire in Black and Gold (Shadows of the Apt, #1) by Adrian Tchaikovsky
Oops. This is the same story as the previous two books. All gifted by the same friend and all, at one point, were high up on my want to read list. It’s also going to be suffering the same fate as the previous two books and will be (hopefully) getting a new home! Goodbye book!
That’s another three books taken off not only my Goodreads shelf, but my actual shelves at home too! This is great because I have absolutely zero room left for any books on my shelves right now and I’m still waiting on a few pre-orders!
