The girl behind the blog

I’d rather die on an adventure than live standing still. – V.E. Schwab

Hello! I’m Jordan, a 28 year old Brit that loves to read. Her Paper Adventure is my personal little corner of the internet where I blog about the books I’m reading/have read and share my thoughts in review posts. I’ll also be sharing some lifestyle posts such as my Bullet Journal, plants I’m attempting to grow and my single-use plastic free journey!

My favourite genres are fantasy and dystopian, I lean more towards YA but have started to really get into NA and Adult books too. I’ve been an avid reader for about six years now and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I adore getting lost in a multitude of different worlds and immersing myself in a good story. My gateway to reading was The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare but the books that made me stick around were the Throne of Glass books by Sarah J. Maas. I own a ton of books I’m yet to read and one of my life goals is to have no book unread on my shelves, I’m sure I’ll get there one day (when I stop buying more books).

I love to watch TV series, but I can’t help but binge watch them so they never seem to last very long. Some of my favourites are Outlander, Once Upon A Time, Lucifer and Medici! I’m also a huge marvel fan! I couldn’t even begin to name my favourite books so I’m not going to try…

I have two pets, Yo; a 5yo Bearded Dragon who is constantly grumpy and loves blueberries and Axel; a 2 year old Boxer dog who is the goodest of boys, loves everything and everyone, and can clear out the room with a single fart.

Recently, I have been working on minimizing how much single-use plastic we use in and around our home! I’ve been swapping out some of the every day items we use for more eco friendly versions and want to share some of my finds with you! I have also become quite the plant hoarder over lockdown 2020, looking after them and propagating has been so much fun and has sparked some much needed joy whilst been stuck at home.

Anyway, I hope you like my blog and stick around for a chat!
