Top Ten Tuesday – Authors I’d Love To Grab A Cuppa With

Hello! I have another TTT for you all today, this week we’re picking our top ten authors we’d love to meet, I’ve been lucky enough to meet quite a few authors on my list through YALC etc, so I thought I’d put a little spin on this post and do ‘authors I’d love to grab a cuppa with’ (grabbing a coffee sounds better but I don’t actually drink coffee). And as usual, there’s not going to be 10 on this list!

V.E. Schwab

A Darker Shade final for IreneA Gathering of Shadows Finalmagic3magic4magic5

Not only is this extremely talented lady one of my all time favourite authors on the planet but she also seems really lovely, and really down to earth. I feel like she’d be pretty cool.

Sarah J. Maas

I’ve read nearly every book this woman has published, and if I haven’t read it yet I definitely own it. I know her writing isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s okay, you don’t have to like her books, but I do. She’s been a favourite author of mine since I first started getting into reading and I feel like The Throne of Glass series is one that really solidified my love for fantasy and tough female leads. I’d love to just tell her that and to be able to just sit and chat.

Samantha Shannon

I adore Samantha Shannon’s books. I was actually lucky enough to meet her at YALC ’18 and she was so lovely, but as anyone who has been to a book convention will know, you don’t really get to hang around and chat for too long. So I’d love to be able to sit down and grab a cuppa with Samantha and gush about how much I love Warden and Paige, also I’d love to talk to her about Priory (I’ve been lucky enough to get a proof of Priory and I AM SO EXCITED TO READ IT!)

Pierce Brown

I love his books and he seems like a really cool dude, but I’d quite like to cry about that death over a cup of tea and ask him why he felt the need to break my god damn heart, y’know?

Leigh Bardugo

Oh there are many things I’d love to chat to Leigh Bardugo about, one being the Darkling, of course. Another being how she creates such awesome characters that I love, really I’d just like to peek into her mind and discover some more awesome worlds and characters that she hasn’t managed to get on paper yet.

And that’s all! I haven’t listed all the authors I’d like to grab a cuppa with because honestly we’d be here forever, and I have many more blog posts to write to keep up with Blogtober!

Who would you like to grab a drink with? Would you like to grab a cuppa (or a coffee) with any of these authors too?
