Down The TBR Hole | 5

Welcome friends, to another Down the TBR Hole post! Last time I removed quite a few books from my TBR and it felt good, I’m looking forward to seeing how this one is going to go! This meme is such a great way to remove some of those books you’ll probably never read from your TBR, if you’re wondering how to get involved, I explain it in my first Down the TBR hole post and as always, this meme was created by Lost In A Story!

Ready to see what books have come under the spotlight this time around? 😀

Crystal Whisperer (Spotless #3)

crystal whispererHave any of you read the first or first two of these books? I really enjoyed the first two but I haven’t seen anyone talk about them at all, ever. The first is better than the second I found, but I did enjoy both!

Verdict? Keep.

Arctic Fire (Fire and Ice #2)

arctic fireMeh, can’t say I’m all that bothered about this book, or finishing the series/trilogy. The more down the TBR hole posts I do, the more I realise I seem to be a serial none finisher of series (yes this is now a thing people!)

Verdict? Remove.

A Hidden Fire (Elemental Mysteries #1)

hidden fireI’m pretty sure the whole reason I got this book was because it was free on kindle! But when I read the synopsis before I downloaded it I was sold, because it HAS LIBRARIES PEOPLE. Then I started reading it and thought it was kind of boring and never picked it up again, maybe I was a little hasty and didn’t really give it a chance though, I know I didn’t get very far into it… Anyone read this one?

Verdict? Remove.

Rootbound (The Elemental Series #5)

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000037_00025]Ahh damn, I seriously need to read this book!! I have read so many Shannon  Mayer books, her Rylee Adamson books are some of my absolute favourites! I have seriously been neglecting this series, I just looked and there SEVEN books out now!

Verdict? Keep.

Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices #2)

clockwork princeHaha oh god, typing out the title of the book had me imagining you all gathering your pitchforks and fire for this still being on my TBR, I added it back when I finished Clockwork Angel, which I liked but didn’t love. I own Clockwork prince and will definitely read it, after another read of Clockwork Angel that is, hopefully I like it more this time!

Verdict? Keep.

Clockwork Princess (The Infernal Devices #3)

clockwork princessAnd of course I added the third and final book in The Infernal Devices trilogy, even though, as I said, I didn’t particularly love Clockwork Angel, I do think I will enjoy the trilogy as a whole and Clockwork Princess is supposed to be the best of the three!

Verdict? Keep.

King Hall (Forever Evermore #1)

king hallThe synopsis doesn’t do much for me on this one. Isn’t it weird how a year or so ago I probably read the synopsis and thought ‘wow, sounds amazing, like something I’d definitely love’ *adds to Goodreads to be read list* and now I’m just like so unmoved by it!

Verdict? Remove.

Reveal

revealWell, I swear I never added this to my TBR haha. I just read the synopsis and I’m pretty damn sure that was the first and only time I’ve ever read it. It has a love triangle, which is something I can deal with if it’s written well, I have a feeling this is not on of those…

Verdict? Remove.

Renegade (The Captive #2)

renegadeWhile I did enjoy the first book (although I can not remember it’s name, probably Captive or something) I won’t be reading this book, I have already attempted it once and ain’t nobody got time for that.

Verdict? Remove.

A Shadow Bright and Burning (Kingdom on Fire #1)

a shadow bright and burningWow, when I saw that this book was my last one of this post I thought ‘oh nice, I’ll be finishing off with a keep,’ I’ve read the synopsis and it’s okay, it didn’t really help much with the whole do I actually want to read this book decision making, so I thought I’d check out a couple of reviews… Now while of course there are some 4/5 star ones on there, there are also some pretty bad ones. Normally I wouldn’t let another persons opinion on a book persuade me too much, because everyone is different, but it has and now I just don’t think I’m going to enjoy it at all!

Verdict? Remove.

Have you read any of the books on this list? What were your thoughts one them?! Any on here you’ve decided to add to your TBR?
